Johanne Grønbech's House

In the 18th and 19th centuries Løkken was an important port for the trade in grain, butter, wood and iron between Vendsyssel and southern Norway. When this trade ceased around 1900, Løkken became a wellknown seaside resort.

In Johanne Grønbech's House, built around 1860, the history of the trade and the economic life of the town are described, included the developement of tourism. The old kitchen and scullery have been restored to their original state at the time around 1900.

The museums are open: From June 5th until August 31th: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4. p.m. Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Saturdays.

The museums are open: From June 6th until August 31th: Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4. p.m. Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Saturdays.
